‘Mayday At 8 Miles A Minute’

An Adrenaline-Packed 3 hour Crisis Management Workshop

Join former fast-jet fighter pilots on this immersive workshop into the world of high-quality, diverse and inclusive decision making at 8 miles a minute. Ideal for leaders, team members and cross functional groups who are eager to develop enhanced decision-making principles, strategic thinking and self awareness, whilst operating under pressure at 8 miles every minute.

OVERVIEW

Working with current airline and ex-military fighter-jet pilots, participants will relive an actual flight that did not go to plan. The adrenalin-packed account catalogs catastrophic mistakes during a time-critical military mission. The events expose the dangers of unilateral thinking, a dominant voice, egos and biases in decision-making. Having safely landed, leaders will be provided with alternate, inclusionary decision making models and techniques to enhance collaboration. The live scenario is then re-run at 30,000 feet. Participants will be split into ‘crews’ with a pilot facilitator and relive ‘Mayday At 8 Miles A Minute’. The scenario will be complex, multi layered and fast changing. Each crew will practice new skills acquired, while being placed in a state of high workload and competition culminating in a safe diversion decision.
